Responsibilities
The Bartender’s core duties involve creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations which will ultimately lead to an excellent guest drinking experience; it will also include
- Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interacting with customers, take orders and serve drinks
- Assessing customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Planning and presenting bar menu
- Checking customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restocking and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Staying guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Complying with all food and beverage regulations
- Having responsibility for the proper care of tools of trade such as:
- Bartending tools (shakers, muddlers, strainers, pourers)
- Cutlery (knives, slicers, peelers)
- Glassware
- Bottle tools (corkscrews, bottle openers)
