Bartender

Responsibilities

The Bartender’s core duties involve creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations which will ultimately lead to an excellent guest drinking experience; it will also include

• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interacting with customers, take orders and serve drinks
• Assessing customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Planning and presenting bar menu
• Checking customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restocking and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Staying guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Complying with all food and beverage regulations
• Having responsibility for the proper care of tools of trade such as:
  • Bartending tools (shakers, muddlers, strainers, pourers)
  • Cutlery (knives, slicers, peelers)
  • Glassware
  • Bottle tools (corkscrews, bottle openers)

Requirements

• A minimum of a Secondary School Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience as a Bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
